Pawtrait Photographer: Branding and product shoot for a pet photographer.

Earlier in the year I had the opportunity to do a branding and product shoot for the incredibly talented Adventure Pawtraits. A fellow Staffordshire based photographer and very good friend of mine, Katie.

I’ve worked with Katie a few times now, photographing some of her beautiful bespoke products. So when she asked me to take some photos of her out in the wild I was so happy. Being allergic to animals is definitely a bit of a barrier for me, but with the right precautions in place (no dog cuddles for me!) all was well.

I worked closely with Katie to discuss ideas for the photoshoots. We chose a beautiful outdoor location for the branding shoot that Katie has used many times for her own photography and she brought along her lovely dog Narla, who was SO well behaved (unlike the bluebells we were desperately hoping for) and performed like a true model for me.

As well as the branding images we wanted to showcase some of the stunning products Katie offers. Stock images provided by the suppliers just didn’t do them justice, we wanted to show their high quality and professional standard. For the product shoot we curated a collection of props, doggy toys, chews, treats, collars and Katie had some adorable dog shaped paper clips that we just had to get into a shot.

The inclusion of the product shoot highlights Katie’s attention to detail and her passion and love for her job and her clients. The images have helped shape part of Katie’s brand identity as well as provide her with extra content for her website and social media. Collaborating with her and capturing her love of pets and photography was such a pleasure and I have no doubt that Adventure Pawtraits will keep growing and continue to make beautiful pet photos for so many families for a very long time.
